W.T.F. is going on at the Colorado Mental Health Facility Institute in Pueblo

With no fence or even locked doors another Killer just walked away from the institution. This is not the first time that someone has just walked away. Dont you think its time for a fence.

Escapes from the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo

The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo has had several notable escapes over the years, frequently as easy for the inmate as simply walking away.

July, 6, 1996 — Stephen Eugene Armstrong was in a medium-security ward when he opened an unlocked door at the gym and walked off hospital grounds. Four years later, he bashed his brother and sister-in- law in the head with a 2-pound sledgehammer, nearly killing both of them.

Dec. 2, 1998 — William Mathews fled the hospital for the fifth time and kidnapped and strangled Wanda Pitts, 18, in Shenandoah, Texas.

Sept. 4, 2004 — Edward Benge, who used gasoline to burn down a Colorado Springs bar and kill a man in March 1990, escaped for the second time. He was caught months later.

March 31, 2007 — Tyrone Jones, committed after inventing a story that a genie commanded him to stab a fellow inmate, escaped for the second time in two years. He was later caught. Jones has been written up more than 20 times for allegedly physically or sexually assaulting patients and selling drugs.

Jan. 28, 2008 — On his sixth escape, Keith Simpson committed at least seven felony offenses over a 3 1/2-week span, including kidnapping, car theft, burglary, assault and attempted murder. In a jail interview in March, he admitted stabbing an elderly woman in the abdomen at a Starbucks on Colorado Boulevard, breaking a steak knife on a disabled veteran's head as he intended to kill him, and breaking into a home planning to hurt or kill the occupants.

Happy Mardi Gras!

Film review: Milk

Sean Penn is a Acting God!!!!

I've just sat though quite possible the gayest and also the best Biopic Hollywood has ever churned out. Harvey Milk felt like he needed to make a change. And that's just what he did. Tired of everyone assaulting him for being Gay, tired of being abused verbally he threw his hat into the political arena and lost three times in a row. He didn't give up and fought back finally with the help of a different manager and a fresh new look for him he won the 5th district Supervisor position only later to be gunned downed while in office along with the Mayor of San Fransisco

George Obama arrested on a marijuana charge

Senior Kenyan police official told the Associated Press that they arrested President Obama's half-brother, George Obama for possession of marijuana on Valentines Day. One joint was discovered on ol' George, who was in police custody at the time on a related incident.

President Obama and George share the same father but they hardly know one another. They have meet twice. Once when Barack was 5 and again in 2002 when then Senator Obama toured Kenya.

In other news a funny here's a good commercial.

Obama in Denver to sign Stimulus' Plan

In a unusual and unprecedented event on Tuesday February 17, President Obama will sign his $787.2 Billion dollar Stimulus' Plan at the Denver's Museum of Nature and Science in City Park.

The event scheduled to start around noon is by invite only and I am not on of the lucky ones to get a invite.

CNN reported that a senior administration official cited a desire to get "away from the politics of Washington."

Another unnamed senior official described Denver as "a place that will see the benefits of the bill in hiring workers."

"This is like a dream," said George Sparks, director of the museum. He said he doesn't believe a sitting president has ever visited the institution.

"The White House advance team just called us Thursday and asked if they could come here," said Sparks, adding that members of the Secret Service made a first visit Thursday afternoon and returned Friday.

Film Review: Coraline

Three words describe this classic adaptation of Neil Gaiman's best-selling children's book. Dark, Twisted and Awesome. I read somewhere how a filmmaker who is making film aimed at kids shouldn't be afraid to be scary. Contrary to popular belief kids will not break they aren't made of glass and Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas)does just that. The graphics are some of the best that i have ever seen and I didn't even see it in 3D. I found out later that it is only playing in 3D at certain theaters. I'm glad that my daughter didn't back out and still wanted to see it.

Coraline (voiced by Dakota Fanning) has just moved into a new house with her parents. Her parents are both poor under paid writers for a popular gardening magazine and are also trying to write there own gardening book. The only problem, they are so busy writing they don't have time to garden or even have time for Coraline for that matter always brushing her aside to work. Her only friends are a neighborhood boy and a stray black cat. The boys grandmother owns the house that Coraline and her family live in but his grandmother will not allow him to step foot inside the house. She is afraid of something inside of it.

Like a twisted version of Alice in Wonderland Coraline finds a small Red door that is locked and that raises her curiosity even more. Doing what kids do best, she bugs her mother long enough she stops what she is doing finds an old skeleton key and tries the door. It opens to revel a solid red brick wall and all hopes of anything exciting happening in the old house have drizzled away that is until late one night Coraline has a vistor in the form of cute little Grey mice. She chases them though her room and down the stairs and she even watches them as they squeeze underneath the little Red door. she opens the door but this time there is no brick wall but a long tunnel with no end in sight. Her eyes light up as this is where the fun begins.

Film Review: Choke

Victor Mancini is a med school drop out making minimum wage as "historical interpreter" some where in New England. He has no real friends except for a one Denny(Brad Henke)who works with him. Denny also attends a 12 step program for sex addicts with Victor who is a sex addict in denial. He saves every penny and lives frugally but that's not enough to pay the $3,000 a month price tag for the care of his dear mother in a top clinic. So works part time for himself you could say. He cons rich people by choking at dinner and having them save his life. Its a rewarding experience for both parties. The hero feels needed there for sending monthly checks reliving the day every time they send a card filled with money and Vic earns enough to pay for his mother who buy the way taught him the con in the first place.

The movie is very sexual in nature and I found myself getting a little worked up watching some of the scenes at times but its not to bad falling a few steps of even a good soft porn. Meanwhile long time actor and first time director Clark Gregg does a fine job adapting Chuck Palahniuk novel which I havnt read yet but it is on my list at the libray along with a few others. I hear Palahniuk is a good read.

The Fray

Eight have now been charged in Phelps' case

on Feb 2 a British tabloid published pictures of American Gold Medalist Michael Phelps smoking marijuana out of a water bong. Now The Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott not to be confused with Leon Lett the former football star is receiving major heat from its citizens.

I'm here today to suggest that the sheriff focus on more serious crime instead of wasting the County's precious tax dollars on a college party.I think the people of the County would be much safer at the end of the night if he did. Unless Sheriff Lett is looking at a different set of National stats,

According to www.bestplaces.net the violent crime rate is well above the nation average.

Richland County, SC, violent crime, on a scale from 1 (low crime) to 10, is 7. Violent crime is composed of four offenses: murder, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. The US average is 3.

Richland County, SC, property crime, on a scale from 1 (low) to 10, is 5. Property crime includes the offenses of burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. The object of the theft-type offenses is the taking of money or property, but there is no force or threat of force against the victims. The US average is 3.

Whatcha think?

Gitmo's youngest prisoner

Omar Kaadr was only 15 when he was shot several times in the chest by Special Forces agents in a firefight in the Eastern part of Afghanistan in 2002 where 1 soldier was wounded and died 10 days later from his wounds.

The American solders patched up the wounded boy and flew him to a remote Air Force base located just to the west of there position for the interrogation process. According to him he was tortured into the submission of murder.

Now with Obama's closing of the prison in Guantanamo Bay Kaadr may be released to his home country of Canada where he could be released upon arrival. Juveniles in Canada are often swatted on the hand and sent on there way and some experts think that this case is no different.

Just say no to Kellogg's

Michael Phelps' public apology for getting photographed smoking marijuana wasn't enough for the food company, Kellogg's, which announced that it would not renew its contract with the swimming champion when it expires at the end of the month.

It will hurt the Kellogg's bottom line if millions of Americans (those who smoke marijuana and plenty who don't) choose not to buy Kellogg's products because this decision smacks of intolerance and reflects poorly on the Kellogg's brand. I myself love to eat Frosted Flakes and there sugary goodness...Yum... But I won't anymore....

Make a call to The Kellogg Company's Office with me and voice your opinion

Phone: (800) 962-1413

Please call The Kellogg Company to register your opinion with their public affairs department. Below is a sample call script of what you can say, along with additional talking points for you to use.

Sample Call Script if you would like:

"I'm disappointed that you dropped Michael Phelps. So he smoked marijuana -- who cares? You should stand by him. I would buy more Kellogg's products if you still endorsed Phelps."

Additional talking points you can use:

* More than one hundred million Americans have smoked marijuana at least once in their lives (including the president, former presidents, members of Congress and justices on the Supreme Court).

* Smoking marijuana is not unusual behavior and you shouldn't hold Phelps to a higher standard.

* I am sick and tired of the public spectacle that happens every time any public figure gets photographed, arrested or otherwise outed and punished for smoking marijuana. I’m disappointed that Kellogg’s is participating in the spectacle.

* I see on your website that one of your core values is to “Show respect for and value all individuals for their diverse backgrounds, experience, styles, approaches and ideas.” Your decision to drop Phelps seems at odds with your own values.

Daft Punk and Justice both walk away with a Grammy

The Grammy committee rarely get it right when it comes to the dance/techno music awards. That is until this year, I think that they nailed it this year.

Field 12 reads: Best Dance Recording (For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances. Vocal or Instrumental. Singles or tracks only.) artist up for this award included Give It 2 Me by Madonna and Disturbia by the sexy Rihanna but it was Daft Punk who won there first Grammy after being nominated four other times previously for the award. The also took home the honor of Best Dance Album with Alive beating out greats like Moby and Cindy Lauper.

And Category 94 read Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical(A Remixer's Award. (Artists names appear in parentheses for identification.) Singles or Tracks only.)
This was a little bit trickier but my favorite for the award, Justice pulling it off with Electric Feel (Justice Remix) Justice, remixers (MGMT)

My letter to the President

Dear President Barack Obama,

Congratulations on becoming our nation's 44th president.

I'm writing to say I stand with you on the issue of medical marijuana. Like you said during the campaign, it's cruel for the federal government to waste taxpayer resources raiding medical
marijuana dispensaries in states where medical marijuana is legal.

As you may know, the DEA recently raided several medical marijuana dispensary in California including one in located in South Lake Tahoe, putting the lives of cancer, HIV/AIDS and other patients at risk. It is clear that the agency is ignoring your wishes. I urge you to stand tall and issue an executive order prohibiting federal law enforcement from arresting and prosecuting anyone for marijuana who is following their state's medical marijuana law.

Again, congratulations on becoming the 44th president.

Sincerely,

The People of the United States of America

Michael Phelps Caught Smoking Pot

www.newsoftheworld.co.uk

14 time Olympic gold medal winner apologizes yesterday after confirming that a photo of him smoking out of a bong was legitimate and a "foolish mistake." and "I am only 23" He was quoted in saying.

Can we say he should be the new Poster Boy for the "Legalize It" campaign next year all over this great country.
